Class of 2014 | New Ulm, Minnesota High School Senior Photography

The class of 2014 is gearing up for the start of their senior year- such an exciting time!

I've taken time off to focus on my family and wedding photography business, but really miss shooting senior sessions. My family traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma to visit our family and friends last month, and I was able to do a senior session with my niece. It was so much fun to explore all of the new locations and get creative with places I wasn't familiar with!

I'm offering a limited amount of senior sessions for the class of 2014, so if you're interested in hanging out with me and having a super fun senior session, let me know!

Want the details?

Fee: $250.00

Includes:

2 hour session (We may not need the entire time, or we may go over by a few minutes.)
Unlimited locations
Unlimited clothing changes

Digital images with printing rights. Images delivered with PASS, an online gallery that allows you to download all your images to your computer instantly. I'll share more details with you about this- it's awesome!

Until Next Time, Friends...

Hi friends! It has been awhile since I've posted on my little blog. Life has been a bit crazy in the last couple of months.

Life has thrown us some curveballs and I have made the decision to step back from Jessica Hester Photography. It was a tough decision and one I did not take lightly; this has been a passion of mine for nearly 4 years and I really love what I do.

I have tried to build a business that compliments my family life- always putting family above anything and everything. The business has always worked for me and my family, but the time has come to put family at the forefront.

Here are a few details on how this transition will work:

Inquiries will be considered through April 22nd, 2013, and if you have previously inquired about a session for this spring or summer, I am honoring those inquiries and committed to your session.

Sessions that were bought in advance can be scheduled through November 1st, 2013.

Weddings or other sessions previously scheduled for 2013 are not affected by this announcement. Your session/wedding day are still scheduled and I'm excited to capture some great moments!

My website will go offline April 23rd, but my blog will remain online. I would love for you to continue to follow me as the blog takes a different turn. I'll continue to blog 2013 sessions here, as well as post other fun posts every now and then.

Jess & Jen Do Weddings will continue to operate as normal.

Thank you to my past clients who trusted me with your memories. I have enjoyed getting a little glimpse into your life, and capturing pure joy and happiness. I value you and I know you all have strong family values, which is why I feel comfortable stepping away from JHP at this time.

Until next time, friends....

-Jess

We didn't realize we were making memories | The Everyday Project | Week 7

"We didn't realize we were making memories; we just knew we were having fun."

Week 7 of The Everyday Project: I struggled with week 7- my camera spent more time collecting dust than it did in my hands. Here's to being more aware of "the everyday" in week 8!

The Trick is to Enjoy Life | The Everyday Project | Week 6

"The trick is to enjoy life. Don't wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead."
-Marjorie pay Hinckley

Well, I'm 6 weeks into The Everyday Project, and I'm feeling pretty confident that I'll make it to 52 weeks. This past week has been a little tough and my camera has spent more time in it's Kelly Moore bag than in my hands, but that's ok. Life is busy- especially life with a family. I'm making a conscious effort to use my camera more the rest of this week.

Last week was full of cleaning...

...creating...

 ...and resting.

Happy Wednesday, friends! Have you been documenting your "everyday"?

The Value of a Moment | The Everyday Project | Week 5

"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."
-Dr. Seuss

I'm blogging via iPhone today because all of my pictures from last week were taken on my phone. Sometimes I just want to take a quick shot without having to think. Other times the moment happens so quickly that my phone is the only hope of capturing it.

I will be Grateful for this Day | The Everyday Project | Week 4

"I will be grateful for this day."

Our week was full of adventure...

...excitement...

...and joy.

I hope your weekend is full of the same. Happy Friday! xoxo

If you want to be Happy, be. | The Everyday Project | Week 3

"If you want to be happy, be."
 -Leo Tolstoy

Our week was full of little moments- like this first image you see below. R was in the bedroom, under my comforter, playing his iPad. I just couldn't resist photographing his little feet sticking out from under the comforter.

His search for "Ca-dy" (read: candy). He is a persistent little dude. And I, clearly, am a responsible parent- leaving him on the counter so I can snap a picture.

M and all of her toys. She just loves her princess castle she got from Nana!

Did you capture a sweet "everyday moment" this week? If so, share it here or on my Facebook page!
